Universal and Blumhouse’s Night Swim has many successful Hollywood names attached to it, but will it be one of the big horror hits of the year? For fans who wish to know about Night Swim’s box office predictions, here are the early projections that could determine its success or failure.
How much is Universal’s Night Swim predicted to make at the box office?
Night Swim is reportedly predicted to open with $17 – 25 million in its opening weekend and end up between $38 – $65 million at the domestic box office.
After the success of M3GAN in early 2023, all eyes are now set on another one of Blumhouse’s high-concept horror films, Night Swim. As M3GAN made $95 million domestically, Night Swim is expected to deliver a similar result. But as per Box Office Pro’s long-range predictions, it won’t do quite as well as M3GAN did.
The range for its domestic opening is between $17 – 25 million and the range for its total domestic box office intake is $38 – 65 million. However, horror movies have still been able to become surprise hits in recent years. So, we shouldn’t be surprised if Night Swim ends up topping the above predictions for the domestic box office.
Will Night Swim flop or succeed?
Considering that Night Swim is a low-budget movie, it could make its money back and turn in a profit, being another successful entry for Universal and Blumhouse.
The production budget of Night Swim hasn’t been revealed at the time of publishing. But Blumhouse is known to produce horror films for a budget of around the $15 million mark. Since Night Swim doesn’t involve a lot of CGI, it could have been produced for $15 million or even less than that.
So, Universal and Blumhouse could have another winner as Night Swim is likely to turn in a sizable profit after accounting for its domestic and international box office numbers.
