DC fans will be excited to know that Matt Reeves’ upcoming series based on Arkham Asylum will be set in James Gunn’s new DC Universe, which consists of other highly anticipated projects like Superman: Legacy and The Brave and the Bold.
Gunn confirmed the Arkham Asylum series’ place within the DCU on Threads when a fan asked him whether Matt Reeves was developing any other DC projects in the Batverse besides The Batman Part II and Penguin. Gunn replied to the fan by saying that Reeves was producing the upcoming Arkham series for the DCU.
James Gunn further added by revealing in another Thread that it was always the plan for Matt Reeves’ Arkham series to be set in the DCU. The DC Studios co-CEO also revealed that the Arkham series was one of the first pitches he and Peter Safran brought with them when they first assumed their CEO positions at DC.
