Many viewers of Fear the Walking Dead are having trouble accessing the series on HBO Max (now Max). The AMC show was available to stream on Max as well, but subscribers are left asking whether it has left the streaming service or not. Here’s all you need to know.
Has Fear the Walking Dead been taken off Max?
Yes, Fear the Walking Dead and all other AMC shows that were streaming on Max have been taken off.
In August, Warner Bros. and AMC Networks announced a limited-time “programming pop-up” deal titled “AMC+ Picks on Max” for 60 days. It allowed Max subscribers to watch seven AMC shows and more than 200 episodes for 60 days. That window ended on Halloween night, October 31, 2023. Meanwhile, Max subscribers who were in the middle of binging Fear the Walking Dead and multiple other shows, such as Killing Eve, lost their access.
Here are all the AMC shows and seasons that left Max on October 31, 2023:
- A Discovery of Witches (Seasons 1–3)
- Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire (Season 1)
- Dark Winds (Season 1)
- Fear the Walking Dead (Seasons 1–7)
- Gangs of London (Seasons 1–2)
- Killing Eve (Seasons 1– 4)
- Ride with Norman Reedus (Seasons 1–5)
Where can I watch Fear the Walking Dead right now?
Fear the Walking Dead is only available to watch on AMC+ now.
Whether AMC and Warner Bros. will come up with another deal to stream AMC shows on Max in the future remains to be seen. For now, Fear the Walking Dead fans can only get access to the show on the AMC network and the AMC+ app.
The series is currently running with its eighth season. Along with it, AMC+ offers all the other shows from the TWD universe to watch, including 11 seasons of The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Dead City, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, among others. You can subscribe to the streamer for $8.99 per month or $83.88 per year.
