Are Choso and Yuji Itadori brothers in Jujutsu Kaisen? If you have seen the recent episode from the second season, you might be wondering about the weird fake memory that Choso had with Itadori. Here is a guide on whether Choso and Itadori are actually related. This contains manga spoilers.
Are Choso and Yuji Itadori brothers?
Choso and Itadori are somewhat brothers because both have a parent who Kenjaku possessed.
Choso’s father is Noritoshi Kamo, a very well-known sorcerer throughout history. (Not to be confused with Noritoshi Kamo from Kyoto Jujutsu High.) During the Meiji Era, he imprisoned a woman who was capable of giving birth to human-spirit hybrids. Noritoshi experimented with her and this is where the nine Cursed Womb: Death Paintings are from. This is why Choso has the Kamo family’s inherited cursed technique, Blood Manipulation.
However, during this time, Kenjaku actually possessed Noritoshi’s body.
Meanwhile, very little has been revealed so far in the manga regarding Yuji’s parents. So far, we know their names — Jin, Yuji’s father, and Kaori, his mother. The manga has shown what they look like, specifically in chapter 143. In this chapter, Yuji has a dream or flashback about his parents and his grandfather. His father and grandfather were having a conversation about Kaori, but before his grandfather could talk about another thing, Kaori appeared.
Kaori is shown to have stitches on her forehead, similar to the version of Suguru Geto who is possessed by Kenjaku.
So, in a way, Choso and Yuji Itadori are brothers because of who Kenjaku possessed. This is why Choso will eventually stop working with Mahito and his group. Instead, he will affiliate himself with Yuji and his side due to his sense of brotherhood with Yuji.
