Halloween Wars: Why Did Snax Sabbath Leave the Show Early?

Fans of the Halloween Wars reality series still wonder why Snax Sabbath, popularly mistaken as “Snacks Sabbath,” left the show so early in the latest season 13. Here’s all you need to know about their inability to compete any further.

Why did Snax Sabbath leave Halloween Wars?

The reason why Snax Sabbath left Halloween Wars without warning isn’t exactly clear. However, it’s rumored that it was either because of a COVID-19 diagnosis or a family emergency.

Food Network’s hit series Halloween Wars began its Season 13 in September, where teams consisting of candy makers, pumpkin carvers, and cake decorators once again began to compete for a grand prize. But one of the squads, Snax Sabbath, mysteriously left the Halloween-themed cake-making competition.

Its members included Jean Schapowal, Luke Schroder, and Fred Isla. First, Isla left mid-competition, and then the entire team of Snax Sabbath got replaced by a new one called “Pumpkin Up the Volume.” However, the audience never got a clear answer for why the replacement happened.

Rumors suggest that either Isla or one of the other two members got COVID-19 positive or had a family emergency that forced the whole team out of the show. However, nothing has been officially confirmed and there are no reliable sources offering any more context.

Now, the rest of the series will feature Pumpkin Up the Volume, which will end the competition in place of “Snacks Sabbath.” Hopefully the new team can fill the shoes of the fan-favorite Snax Sabbath.

As per the synopsis of Halloween Wars Season 13:

Nine teams comprisded of pumpkin carvers, cake bakers and sugar artists will compete in ghoulish challenges for the chance to take home a sweet cash prize!”
