Although Gen V is only days away from premiering its first season, fans are curious about whether this new spin-off of The Boys centered around young superheroes will get a second round on streaming platforms.

Moreover, Amazon Prime Video made a writers’ room in anticipation of a second-season renewal prior to the start of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
This is because Amazon Prime Video has not renewed the series for a second season as they are waiting to see how the first season will perform in terms of viewership and ratings before they decide whether Gen V should be renewed for a second season or not. This was confirmed by Amazon’s Head of Television Vernon Sanders in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, who said that more seasons will be made if the first season gets a positive reception from fans. Sanders also revealed that Amazon themselves liked what they saw from Gen V and are expecting fans to also like the show.
Gen V’s cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizzie Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
