Ahsoka episode 6 introduced us to Captain Enoch and the Night Troopers under his command, forming Grand Admiral Thrawn’s menacing fleet. Many fans wish to discover who the Stormtrooper with the golden mask is. Also, who is the actor beneath the mask? Here’s all you need to know about Thrawn’s golden Night Trooper.
Who is Captain Enoch in Ahsoka episode 6?
Captain Enoch is the leader of the Night Trooper legion introduced in Ahsoka episode 6.
Surprisingly enough, he has never appeared in any Star Wars project before Ahsoka. His gold-masked helmet signifies the culture of the Nightsisters and her people. However, it is also inspired by Japanese Samurai and by the Kintsugi art of mending the areas of breakage with hardened lacquer or gold, as evidenced by his helmet.
He is the right hand of Thrawn and seems to be an extremely crucial cog in Thrawn’s plans moving forward. While his skillset is yet to be displayed, he seems to have a strong command over the rest of the Night Trooper army.
As for his identity, he could be a fallen soldier/commander reanimated by the Nightsisters, similar to Marrok. The witches of Dathomir could heal the injured and breathe new life into the dead. Therefore, using their dark Magick, the Nightsisters could have brought Captain Enoch back to life as an undead obedient leader supporting Thrawn’s cause.
Who plays Captain Enoch in Ahsoka?
Wes Chatham plays the Gold Stormtrooper Captain Enoch in Ahsoka.
The 44-year-old American actor is known for his roles in The Expanse, The Help, Valley of Elah, The Philly Kid, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and Part 2. Now, he stars as Captain Enoch in Ahsoka, and is expected to return in episodes 7 and 8. It will be interesting to see whether we’ll get to dive deeper into his character and even see his face, or if he will meet the same fate as Inquisitor Marrok.
