Following the conclusion of Justified: City Primeval‘s first and likely only season on August 29, 2023, viewers are anxious to know whether or not there will be a second season for the show and if they will ever see more of Timothy Olyphant’s U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens.

Is there a Justified: City Primeval Season 2 release date?
Justified: City Primeval Season 2 does not have a release date as there are currently no plans to make one.
Justified: City Primeval was made as a limited series and told its entire story in eight episodes. Additionally, although the ending was left open to the possibility of more stories involving Raylan Givens, it also gave fans an acclaimed and satisfying conclusion to the story. So, it seems unlikely that a second season would be made. Additionally, Michael Dinner, co-showrunner and executive producer of the miniseries, revealed that a second season would only happen if FX decided to do it.
However, Timothy Olyphant, who plays Raylan Givens, said that he was open to doing more seasons of stories with Givens and that he would be on board if FX wanted him for more seasons of Justified: City Primeval.
Aside from Timothy Olyphant, Justified: City Primeval also stars Aunjanue Ellis, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Adelaide Clemens, Marin Ireland, Victor Williams, Boyd Holbrook, Walton Goggins, and Vivian Olyphant.

The official synopsis for Justified: City Primeval reads:
“Having left the hollers of Kentucky 15 years ago, Raylan Givens is now based in Miami, balancing life as a marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl. A chance encounter on a Florida highway sends him to Detroit and he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent sociopath who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and wants to do so again.”
