A poster titled Halloween: Origin of Evil featuring the Netflix logo that was easily found online made many fans believe there is a new series to come. But is that poster even real? If so, is there a Halloween: Origin of Evil Netflix series streaming on Netflix? Here’s what you need to know.
Is there going to be a Halloween TV series on Netflix?
There is no Halloween TV series planned for Netflix.
Much to the Michael Myers fans’ displeasure, Netflix isn’t going to release any shows titled Halloween: Origin of Evil. The poster also features a release date set on August 18, and we can certainly say there isn’t any Halloween TV series on Netflix. The popular streamer can always announce to be producing a Halloween series in the future, but that announcement has yet to come.
Created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, the Halloween franchise started in 1978 with the iconic horror movie of the same name. The Carpenter-directed movie spawned 12 more films with some recurring characters. The latest and likely last Halloween movie is 2022’s Halloween Ends which saw franchise veteran Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie Strode.
Is the Halloween: Origin of Evil poster real or fake?
The Halloween: Origin of Evil poster is fake.
Maybe fans would love to see Carpenter collaborating with Friday the 13th director Sean S. Cunningham for a Halloween series, but that won’t happen any soon. The Halloween: Origin of Evil poster people saw online isn’t real.
The fan-made concept poster shows the Strode house, with Michael standing in the doorway dressed as a clown. Above the house, the well-known Myers mask is etched into the stormy sky and clouds, casting a looming presence.
