It might still take a while before fans can watch the continuation of Asta’s journey to become a Wizard King. The COVID-19 outbreak heavily impacted the production of Season 4, which only featured 16 episodes as compared to the previous seasons, which had over 50 installments each. The hit anime series has been on hiatus since October 2021, when the season four finale aired. For now, it appears that the recently-released movie, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, is the only Black Clover content fans will see coming their way for a while.
The popular anime series is based on the manga of the same name created by Yūki Tabata. Produced by Studio Pierrot, the anime adaptation premiered on October 3, 2017. The story follows the adventures of Asta, a young boy born without magical abilities in a society where magical power determines one’s social standing.
