10:10 Games revealed a new Funko Fusion trailer at Comic-Con on Friday, finally revealing the game’s main villain. The upcoming action-adventure game launches for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch on September 13.
What happens in the Funko Fusion story trailer?
The Funko fusion trailer introduces fans to the Devious villain Eddy, voiced by veteran screen actor Clancy Brown. Described by 10:10 Games as a dark reflection of Funko mascot Freddy Funko, Eddy can possess inhabitants of the game’s pop culture-inspired worlds. With this dark power, he is assembling an army of corrupted characters from beloved franchises, including Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Thing, Chucky, and more. As Freddie Funko, players must gather a team of Funko heroes to fight back against Eddy and his nefarious ambitions.
10:10 Games first revealed the new Funko Fusion trailer at the studio’s Comic-Con panel on Friday. Guests included Ian Cooper, who shared info about the game’s content based on Jordan Peele, and voice actor Kellen Goff, who reprises his role as Freddy Fazbear. Invincible and The Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman also appeared as a surprised guest. He offered fans a sneak peek of Funko Fusion’s Invincible level and the playable characters Invincible, Omni-Man, Rick Grimes, and Michonne. The latter two feature in the game’s Walking Dead Pack preorder bonus.
In addition to the panel and the new Funko Fusion trailer, Funko also announced a new line of figurines. These collectibles include Eddie and Mecha Freddie, along with a handful of pop culture characters appearing in the game.
