Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is just under a week away from its April 19 launch, but Guerrilla Games has dropped the DLC’s launch trailer. It has more gameplay than anything else shown so far and even includes new characters.
The trailer has Aloy flying into the area and quickly coming across Seyka, the new ally that Guerrilla only showed concept art for in a prior post. It then cuts to some more environment shots and a few other unnamed characters, one of whom was likely Admiral Gerrit, a local Quen official that Guerrilla previously mentioned. The trailer ends with a new weapon that looks like if Bungie tried to put Mega Man’s Mega Buster in Destiny and another look at the giant Horus machine that has been teased since the announcement.
Guerrilla has shown very little of Burning Shores outside of its reveal trailer from The Game Awards. It has only generally revealed the power that its PlayStation 5 exclusivity gives the expansion, its pre-order bonuses, the new mount, a very brief snippet of gameplay, and that the DLC will let players meet more of the Quen tribe.
