Ubisoft has released a free trial for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on the same day the game’s first expansion The Sky Breaker hits consoles and PC. The trial is only available for a limited period of time, but it gives an opportunity to those who still haven’t taken the plunge into the world of the Western Frontier.
How long will the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora free trial last?
The free trial is available from today, July 16, until July 28 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can access the single-player campaign up until the main story mission “The Aranahe Clan” where they reach the Hometree. Alternatively, those who aren’t concerned with the story have five hours to mess around in the world as they see fit. Progress made during the free trial will be transferred to the full game once purchased.
Those who have already finished the game’s campaign will be looking forward to today’s release of The Sky Breaker DLC instead. A new threat appears in the sky as the Na’vi clans celebrate their great festival of games. After getting a radio call from Priya, players must travel to a new area known as the Heart of the Plains to face the RDA once again.
As well as new locations like the Prism Fields, Feathered Grasslands, and Stone Rapids, other more familiar biomes have “bloomed into breathtaking new variations.” There are also new enemies trying their hardest to stop players from prevailing, such as the AMP Defender that has an indestructible shield and gatling gun. New RDA lieutenants can be found in each of the RDA Command Stations and they have improved AMP Suits too.
The DLC includes new story missions, side quests, and new activities like timed challenges. There’s also a new Legendary rarity category to help players level up to master crafter, and a level increase to rank 25.
