Speedrunning has a long history with Nintendo games, with titles like Mario and Metroid famed for their speed-running potential. Nintendo Switch owners will soon be able to test their skill on various retro challenges when Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition launches on July 18. Additionally, NES superfans who don’t mind paying a bit extra can pick up the $60 Deluxe Set, now available for pre-order.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition reveals Deluxe Set
The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Deluxe Edition includes a physical copy of the game and a bundle of other goodies. Also included are five collectible pins and 13 cards commemorating each of the classic NES titles featured in the game. Customers also get a display-only replica of the gold NES Game Pak commemorating the 1990, 2015, and 2017 Nintendo World Championships.
