Mitton shared the images on social media with the following message.

”Your excitement following Marvel’s Blade reveal means the world to us. Here’s some exclusive eye candy from our Art heroes at Lyon!”

It’s certainly giving off a particular flavor with striking imagery of the Paris rooftops, the Metro, and a peek at a vampire nightclub, something quite synonymous with Blade after the Wesley Snipes-starring 1998 movie adaptation opened with an iconic blood club fight sequence.

The concept art is by Sergey Kolesov (@pelengsquare) & Jean-Luc Monnet (@jlmonnet)

The recently announced Blade game is described as a “mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris.” It will be released on the Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also arrive on Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Arkane Lyon is famous for the Dishonored series and the time-bending immersive sim Deathloop. Its Austin counterpart also dabbled in vampires for this year’s Redfall.

Blade was originally created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gene Colan as a supporting character in the comic book The Tomb of Dracula just over 50 years ago. In 1998, we got the first in a Blade movie trilogy from New Line Cinema which is often cited as the spark for bringing more comic books and superheroes to the big screen. The trilogy films brought in over $400 million at the global box office.
