The world of Rocket League is going warp speed to a galaxy far, far away, as developer Psyonix announced that the game would be partnering with Star Wars for a slew of new cars.
The new cars will feature designs inspired by some of the most memorable droids to ever appear in the Star Wars universe. These include R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, and K-2SO, all of whom will get their own car decals, wheels, and animated toppers that will move around in-game as you play.
The packs will arrive on May 4 – colloquially known as Star Wars Day – and will be available to purchase in the game’s shop. The R2-D2 and BB-8 packs will cost 800 (~$7) credits and include decals, wheels, and a topper, while the C-3PO and K-2SO packs will cost 500 ($4.99) credits and just include a decal and wheels.

For those not looking to spend any money, Psyonix is making sure you can celebrate Star Wars Day as well. A special “Rust Bucket” player title and R2-D2 (Twin Suns) player banner will also be available in the Item Shop, for free, beginning on May 4, 2023.
The collaboration with the world of Star Wars is just the latest in a long line of collaborations for Rocket League. Previously, the game featured cars from the world of Batman, Ghostbusters, and even James Bond. Most recently, the WWE Universe even invaded Rocket League, with special John Cena and Roman Reigns-inspired cars arriving last year.
