Sony opted to withhold the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium October 2022 lineups after detailing the three games coming to the Essential tier later in September. However, now the time has come and the company has listed all the titles coming to each tier of the service, including highlights in the Assassin’s Creed and Grand Theft Auto franchises. These games will be available starting October 18.
PlayStation Plus Extra October 2022 Lineup
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition is one of the larger additions and was originally released in the buggy, but heavily patched Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Dragon Quest also makes quite a big portion of the list, as five different entries are joining the service.

Assassin’s Creed games are continuing to come to PlayStation Plus as this month welcomes in Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. However, the latter three will only be playable on PlayStation 4 consoles since they, especially Syndicate, have issues when running on PS5. Ubisoft originally had a post listing these problematic games, but eventually pulled it. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China was also part of that original list, but has seemingly been given the green light be playable on PS5. Ironically, Odyssey was patched to run even better on PS5 and now runs at 60 frames per second on that new console.

PlayStation Plus Premium October 2022 Lineup
As was the case with Assassin’s Creed, more Yakuza game are pouring onto PlayStation Plus with the remastered PS4 versions of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Everyday Shooter are two PS3 games that will only be playable through streaming, but they aren’t completely new additions, since both have been on PlayStation Now in the past. There are no PS1, PS2, or PSP games, but it seems as though Ridge Racer 2 was planned before being pulled, as noted by a deleted video from PlayStation.
