It looks as though the reports were accurate. Ubisoft revealed Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, an upcoming chapter in the series, but, unlike the Codename Red trailer, this one was far more vague.

The trailer only showed the Assassin’s logo made of sticks hanging from a tree in a dark forest. No official time period or setting was given. It will be part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, though, the live-service hub for the series and is only “on the horizon,” meaning it has no official release window. Ubisoft Montreal, the studio that led Origins and Valhalla, is leading this game as well.
However, the accurate reports that revealed this game’s existence said that it took place in Europe during the Holy Roman Empire. The reports also spoke of witch trials, which this trailer implies.
