Warner Bros. Games Montréal unveiled an extended look at some Gotham Knights gameplay back in May that focused on Nightwing and Red Hood. It hasn’t done the same for Batgirl or Robin, but the studio did just release a new gameplay trailer for The Boy Wonder, showing off his array of stealthier abilities.

Instead of magically stepping on air or using a jet-powered glider to get around, Robin can teleport, the origins of which are shown in the trailer. And while this can be used for traversal, it also factors into his moves in various ways and lets him more easily close the distance between him and his prey. The trailer also shows him going invisible, using his grapnel gun to connect to bad guys that are far away, a slingshot, and a hologram decoy that can confuse enemies. And in addition to simply beating thugs senseless, his collapsible staff can be spun around to deflect bullets, too.
The trailer even gives a small look into Tim Drake’s personality. Being the youngest of the four, it hints that he is having trouble finding who he is in the absence of Batman. The press release also notes that he “deeply believes that Gotham City needs a Batman and aspires to one day take up the mantle himself” and that he will be ready when the time comes.

Warner Bros. Games Montréal is likely gearing up to release similar videos for Batgirl and Red Hood, as it already spotlighted Nightwing in the RPG’s Summer Game Fest trailer. It has plenty of time to do so before the game’s launch on October 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
