During their E3 Direct presentation, Nintendo finally confirmed the already-widely-known news that a new title in Sega’s Super Monkey Ball franchise is on the way.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the monkey marble madness breaking into our lives via the arcade and the GameCube, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will launch on Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms in October, and contains remastered versions of Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.
This new compilation is the first time Nintendo superfans will be able to get their hands on Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, since that game was only ever released on the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox back in the day. On the flipside, Sony and Microsoft players are getting their first taste of the original Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2, since they were GameCube exclusives.
With remastered visuals, updated control methods, and a host of new features, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz could be something of a surprise package when it drops on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One/Series X|S on October 5.
