Miramax opened The Human Stain, starring Anthony Hopkins, Nicole Kidman, Ed Harris and Gary Sinise, in limited theaters on October 31. The film performed well in 160 theaters, making about $1 million and averaging $6,463 per location. The studio is expanding the theater count a bit this weekend to 187.
