Seinfeld stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander have refused to give interviews for upcoming DVD compilations of the series because they feel they haven’t gotten their fair share of the show’s profits, says Entertainment Weekly.
The actors are upset that they would only receive a “small recording fee” for participating in the DVD, rather than a percentage of its sales.
A Jerry Seinfeld spokeswoman said that he was unhappy with his former castmates’ decision, and that he hoped to speak with them soon to try to change their minds. A DVD of the show’s first season was set for release in December 2004, with the other eight seasons to follow.
