ABC News reported that authorities got to know about Jason Lytton’s crimes when a person informed them about the explicit images. The outlet mentioned that before talking to the police, he spoke to Lytton’s brother about it. Lytton contacted the man who saw the images and admitted to the possession of child pornography, following which police obtained a search warrant and went through his phone. Investigators then discovered several naked images of young girls and videos of child pornography. Per another report by ABC News, police arrested Jason Lytton and charged him on multiple counts, including 10 second-degree felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
However, Jason Lytton took a plea deal and received a minimum sentence. As per the plea agreement, the court found Lytton guilty of one sexual exploitation charge and two charges of voyeurism. ABC News mentioned that the perpetrator received credit for the time he had already served and received a sentence of 329 days in prison. Jason Lytton is currently out of prison and living in Herriman, Utah. Additionally, he is a registered sex offender, per Daily Mail.

In the trailer of the documentary series, Ashley opened up about the incident and revealed how she discovered a hidden folder on her husband’s computer. She also shared feeling disgusted upon finding the contents in the “hidden folder.”
In the trailer, Ashley Lytton broke down and said that it’s not easy for her to discuss the entire matter. She said, “I don’t think I can say it, I’m sorry. I just need a break.” The documentary also features Ashley and Jason’s daughter.
