Adult actress Stormy Daniels has made several revelations in the newly released Peacock documentary Stormy. While the documentary talks about many aspects, it mainly focuses on the Stormy Daniels-Donald Trump scandal that made headlines in 2018. In the documentary, Daniels noted why she took the hush money deal.
While speaking in the documentary, the adult actress revealed that the entire controversy made her “terrified.” For her, signing the deal seemed a perfect way to escape the mess. The documentary also revealed that she said yes to the deal to protect her family. Additionally, she wanted to have a paper trail linking her to Donald Trump in case someone tried hurting her. Citing Daniels’ statement, People Magazine reported, “All I had to do was sign this piece of paper and collect $130,000.”
She also opened up about one of her friends who told the actress how she has now become a problem for the entire Republican Party. Stormy Daniels recalled how a stranger approached her and her daughter, warning the actress not to sell her story to the media. She said, “My friend was like, ‘You might actually have a problem. I don’t want to scare you, but based on the things you’ve told me, now you’re the whole Republican Party’s problem.” Daniels added, “And they like to make their problems go away. I was f—ing terrified.”
The documentary sees Stormy Daniels talking about what happened after the scandal broke and how it made her life miserable.
What happened to Stormy Daniel’s lawyer after the case?
As per the documentary, Stormy Daniels slammed her lawyer Michael Avenatti, reported People Magazine. The documentary states that Daniels went to several attorneys to present her case, but no one wanted to go against Donald Trump. Eventually, she met Avenatti and asked for just $100 to fight the case. In the film, Daniels said, “When I first met [Michael], I thought he was so generous by not taking more than $100 from me. He was the only person even willing to not only help me, and champion for me, but believed me.”
However, their client-lawyer relationship didn’t work out after Daniels learned that he forged her signature and stole money. According to People Magazine, the court found Avenatti guilty of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. The report also mentioned that he forged the actress’ signature and stole $300,000 of her $800,000 advance for her book Full Closure. In the documentary, Daniels stated, “Michael Avenatti, he betrayed me in every way.”
However, this was not the first time Avenatti was found guilty of fraud. In December 2022, the court sentenced him to 14 years in prison for stealing money from his clients, per People Magazine.
Trump’s attorneys question the release of documentary
Donald Trump’s attorneys slammed Stormy Daniels and the prosecutors for not telling them about the documentary’s release. Citing Trump’s attorneys, CNN reported that they want the court to dismiss the indictment or postpone the trial. The defense believes that the documentary’s release comes one week before the selection of the jury.
Former US President Donald Trump has denied all the accusations and said he never had an affair with Daniels, per Forbes. Trump also noted that he did “nothing wrong” and called the entire case a “political Witch-Hunt.” He also called her “Horseface” and reiterated that he is not worried about the case.
Stormy is now streaming exclusively on Peacock.
