Lifetime will soon release a documentary showcasing the struggles of the popular former talk show host Wendy Williams. Titled Where Is Wendy Williams?, the focus of this project will be on Williams’ struggles with her health following her financial hardships and diagnosis with the Graves’ disease. Reports suggest that the 59-year-old’s iconic talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, was canceled after she began having health issues. In 2017, she even fainted live while hosting the special Halloween episode of the show.
Furthermore, the official description of Where Is Wendy Williams? reads, “After Wendy Williams was placed under a financial guardianship and her hit talk show was unexpectedly canceled, she was determined to make a career comeback. Opening the doors to her private life like never before. Cameras chronicled her comeback journey. To reclaim her life and legacy despite facing health issues and personal turbulence.”
It further states, “With unparalleled access granted by Wendy. To film with her and her family for nearly two years, what was captured was not what anyone expected. The documentary provides a raw, honest and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life. After she was placed under financial guardianship. Shedding light on the vulnerabilities that has turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself.”
The synopsis ends with, “Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior, and declining health were all captured by the cameras. Where Is Wendy Williams? is the story of Wendy’s journey to resurrect her career. And what filmmakers discovered along the way. But many questions remain. Who truly has Wendy’s best interest at heart? Is she healthy now?”

He says, “Mom has done a great job making it seem like everything is OK always, but in reality, there is something wrong”. He continues, “My mom always talks about how she wants to work, but I think she’s worked enough. She has people around her who are ‘yes’ people that have allowed this to continue.”
Wendy Williams was married to Kevin’s father, Kevin Sr., from 1999 to 2020. In a 2015 conversation with Essence, the former talk show host stated that she gave everything to be a mother. Furthermore, she revealed her experience with miscarriages. Williams said, “I fought tooth and nail to be a mother. I suffered several miscarriages including two at five months. That’s when you have the clothes already picked out, the nursery is already painted. They ask you do you want a funeral or do you want the cremation.”
In addition, she said, “We went through that not once but twice, me and my husband. So our Kevin is a hard-won child. I would’ve loved to have had more children but I don’t want to test my blessing. Being a mother is for me. It’s not for everybody. It’s for me.”
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Wendy Williams’ marriage with Kevin Sr. ended after she learned about her husband’s infidelity. She even confirmed that her ex-husband had a daughter with another woman.
