Recent reports suggest that Lifetime will soon release a documentary showcasing the life and recent struggles of former talk show Wendy Williams. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer for the upcoming documentary titled “Where Is Wendy Williams?” is a tearjerker. Most importantly, it will delve into Wendy’s health issues, which have made her life bumpy.

In the trailer, Williams says, “I have no money, and I’m gonna tell you something. If it happens to me, it could happen to you”. Wendy Williams is currently 59 years old. She is best known for hosting the popular talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, from 2008 to 2021.

Furthermore, the official description of Where Is Wendy Williams? reads, “After Wendy Williams was placed under a financial guardianship and her hit talk show was unexpectedly canceled, she was determined to make a career comeback. Opening the doors to her private life like never before. Cameras chronicled her comeback journey. To reclaim her life and legacy despite facing health issues and personal turbulence.”

It further states, “With unparalleled access granted by Wendy. To film with her and her family for nearly two years, what was captured was not what anyone expected. How did Wendy Williams’ career begin?

Wendy Williams was born on July 18, 1964, to Shirley and Thomas Dwayne Williams. Furthermore, she reportedly had two other siblings. According to AWBI, her career began in the world of radio when she interned at WRKS in New York. WRKS is now known as WBLS. Gradually, she began hosting her own radio show titled The Wendy Williams Experience. This show aired from 2002 to 2009. Even though her popularity was rising, her big break arrived when she transitioned into Television.

Her career took off in 2008 after the launch of The Wendy Williams Show. Her catchphrase was “How you doin’?” and her show became one of the unmissable hours of daytime television. Furthermore, this show won several awards and received praise from critics and the audience. Unfortunately, Wendy’s health issues resulted in the cancellation of the show. Furthermore, she once even fainted live on air.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, spokesperson Shawn Zanotti stated in an email, “It has been no secret that Wendy has battled with addiction over the years but at this time Wendy is on the road to recovery and healing herself from her chronic illnesses and her grievances of the past.”

He further stated, “What we do know is that Wendy has a history of chronic illness that she has publicly spoken about.”

Wendy Williams has been married twice. Her first husband was Bert Girigorie, and his second was Kevin Hunter. Furthermore, she has a son with her second husband, whose name is Kevin Hunter Jr.
