The upcoming modern C-drama The Tale of Rose will meet viewers soon. It features Crystal Liu and Tong Da Wei in the lead roles. It is an adaptation of the famous novel “The Story of Rose” by Yi Shu. The drama tells the complex story of a woman, Huang Yi Mei (Crystal Liu), who hails from a scholarly family and has shown a keen interest in arts since childhood. As time passes, she experiences multiple heartbreaks.
She falls in love with someone after joining the workforce, but the two end up going their separate ways. She decides to go back to college and further her education. Even her marriage with her college classmate falls apart. But she learns from each heartbreak and uses the lesson to grow in life.

Other than the lead actors, The Tale of Rose will also feature Wan Qian, Zhu Zhu, Wu Bi, Huang Yi, Xia Li Xin, Yan Qing Yu, Wang Lu Yun, and others in pivotal roles. Wang Jun is the director of the drama.
The drama will reportedly release a total of 36 episodes, which will be available for streaming on Tencent Video.
