The ongoing popular C-drama Our Interpreter released episodes 28 and 29 on January 24, 2024. The original broadcasting network of Our Interpreter is Hunan TV. The drama features popular actors Victoria Song and Chen Xingxu in the lead roles. The story follows Lin Xi (Victoria Song), a successful interpreter at a big company, who runs into her ex-boyfriend, Xiao Yicheng (Chen Xingxu), eight years after they broke up. The companies they work for sign a partnership, and they have no choice but to keep meeting. Eventually, they grow close and fall in love once again.
In episode 28 of Our Interpreter, the staff members of Lin Xi’s old department get excited when they hear rumors that Lin is returning. Wei Tian (Wang Sen) confirms the news. On the other hand, Shasha (Lin Zi Lu) is suffering from allergies and fatigue. Tian notices this and gets worried for her. He tells her to take the day off and give her pending work to him.

Everyone in the translation department congratulates Lin Xi. They show their gratitude but are also sad to see her go. Lin Xi takes them to a team dinner. Lin Xi is puzzled when the waiter tells her that an old friend is here to see her. Chen, the subordinate who was fired because of Lin Xi, has come to meet her. Chen tells her that she knows about Lin Xi’s letter of recommendation. She apologizes to Lin for her past behavior. Lin Xi tells her that she is also grateful to Chen. Because of Chen, she has learned to be more considerate. Finally, they clear all misunderstandings and reconcile.
Meanwhile, Yicheng is at home, having dinner with his parents. His father asks him about Lin Xi and tells him to take good care of emotional matters. On the other hand, his mother is not as happy. She asks him if Lin Xi’s family is a good match for them. His father also pitches in and says that if Yicheng marries Lin, their relationship with professor Gao and his family will deteriorate.
Yicheng tells them that he doesn’t care about that as he is marrying Lin and not Gao’s family. He puts his foot down. His parents break their silence and finally tell him that they are testing his sincerity.
In the latest episode of Our Interpreter, Lin Xi and her father go to the hospital to take Gao home. Yicheng also arrives there with his parents. Afterwards, Lin Xi, Yicheng, and their parents go for lunch together. Yicheng’s parents are pretty excited and start planning for the wedding. Lin’s father, on the other hand, expresses his concern that they are rushing things. Yicheng assures him that Lin and Yicheng have known each other for more than ten years.
In episode 29 of Our Interpreter, many subplots reveal themselves. Yao Cheng comes to meet Lin Xi and Yicheng. He tells them that Tong Xin has been avoiding him. He asks for their help. On the other hand, Shasha is stressed because her mother is pressuring her to focus on her career, and she breaks up with Wei Tian.
