Anime NYC’s organizational team has announced a modification in its schedule for the grand event next year. The staff unveiled a strategic move for the 2024 convention. Since its inception in November 2017, the event has generally taken place in November. However, now the decision is to relocate the event to August.
This resolution coincides with the organizers’ vision to provide attendees with an enhanced and expansive experience. This alteration also aligns with the entirety of the Javits Center’s main building being exclusively reserved for the occasion.
The staff emphasized the newfound opportunity to offer fans more space. This space will further allow for feature showcases and additional panel rooms dedicated to screenings, workshops, and special events.
Fans looking forward to attending the convention in 2024 must know that ticket sales are scheduled to begin on December 5, 2023. This, in turn, is another noteworthy shift in the customary ticketing timeline.
Anime NYC 2024 release date
As it happens, the journey toward this expansion was revealed earlier in January, the staff expressed their aspiration to utilize the entire Javits Center. They also desired to explore the possibility of incorporating alternative venues in the Hudson Yards and Times Square neighborhoods. As such, Anime NYC 2023 will take place from August 23, 2024, to August 25, 2024.
Anime Con NYC 2023 unfolds this weekend, running from Friday to Sunday. Attendees can anticipate an array of premises. Notable screenings in the event include premieres from TMS Entertainment, HIDIVE, and Crunchyroll.
