Attack on Titan has been packed with several twists and turns. However, the series has finally arrived at its finale a few days prior. The entire world’s hatred and disgust dawns upon the Eldians of Paradis; Eren Yeager decides to break out the Titans from the island’s Walls with the Founding Titan and unleash the Rumbling.
His old allies join hands with the enemies in a desperate attempt to stop him from destroying the entire humanity. Viewers were curious about the protagonist’s inhumane act of genocide. They wanted to understand why Eren had chosen such a method. Attack on Titan’s finale, titled “Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2,” answered many questions that remained untouched previously.
Why did the rumbling happen?
The world’s ignorance and refusal to entertain diplomatic talks with Paradis played a pivotal role. It was the most significant factor that led Eren to initiate the Rumbling. Eren discovers the existence of human civilization outside the walls. Eren also learns that people refer to the inhabitants of Paradis as Devils. They are seen as a threat to the existence of humanity. This perception has persisted for centuries since the 145th Fritz King retreated inside the Walls, effectively dissolving the Eldian Empire of the past.
Eren breaks the hardening of the island walls, releasing all the Titans into the world. Shortly after this, he announced a message to all Subjects of Ymir through the world of the Paths. In that broadcast, he explained the reasons behind his actions and elaborated by saying that the entire world wished for the destruction of Paradis. Since Eren considered it his home, he couldn’t simply accept this wish and chose to defend his homeland at any cost.
