Isekai anime series are everywhere these days, and there’s another one to add to the mix as the light novel series Reincarnated as a Sword is officially getting an anime adaption. The news was announced by the series’ official Twitter account, although no details were shared on which studio will be handling the adaption or a release window.
Reincarnated as a Sword first launched as a web novel in 2015, and the light novel series is ongoing and currently has 12 volumes. The series is being adapted into English by Seven Seas Entertainment, and there’s also an ongoing manga adaption that’s been running since 2016.

“When a 30-year-old salaryman and games enthusiast is suddenly killed in a car accident, he finds himself reborn into a fantasy world…but in the form of a sword!” says the official description of the series. “Now he’s in search of a beautiful woman to wield him, and a cat girl named Fran might be the exact adventuring partner he needs.”
At the time of writing, only the first nine volumes of the light novel series and the first seven volumes of the manga series are available in English.
