The Komi Can’t Communicate anime adaptation officially has a release date, along with a brand new trailer for the show. The show follows the titular Komi, who has social anxiety and begins a quest to make 100 friends.

A new trailer revealing the adaptation was released on Tuesday, showcasing some of the animation style and a brief look at footage from the show as well. The anime adaptation will be released in October in Japan, so fans won’t have to wait much longer to get their first full look at the show. Ayumu Watanabe (Mysterious Girlfriend X) is the chief director for the anime, with Kazuki Kawagoe (Beyblade Burst God) directing the series at OLM.

The manga by Tomohito Oda launched in May 2016 and quickly became a hit in Japan. An anime adaptation quickly became a dream for many of its fans, so the announcement was met with much anticipation. No word of a U.S. stream or release for the anime has been announced just yet, but fans can read Viz Media’s manga releases right now.
