Alex Kurtzman Talks Locke & Key Feature Film

“We have locked down on a writer who really came up with a brilliant way to take the best of the first couple graphic novels and play out a complete first movie story with a lot of promise of future movies, which is really our goal… I believe in it so much, and I believe in Joe Hill.  All I want is to make that movie. “

When asked if he could name the writer, Kurtzman declined but did say, “We’re very close, though.  Hopefully, it will be out soon.  We really loved it, too.  But, it will live on as a movie now, and hopefully many.”

The comic series, created by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, tells the story of the Locke family who travel to a place called Keyhouse, a New England mansion with fantastic keys that open up doors that give them incredible abilities. The building is also home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all. The series is currently two issues away from the final issue, and we suggest you start catching up now!
