In addition to the big Hack/Slash and Hatchet cross-over we exclusively announced out of Comic-Con, the other big Hack news of the last few days concerned the actress playing Cassie in the Hack/Slash animated movie.
Director Matt Pizzolo and Halo-8 will be adapting Tim Seeley’s mini-series “Hack/Slash: My First Maniac” in a similar style akin to Halo-8’s previous release Godkiller.
At a Comic-Con panel on over the weekend, it was revealed Brea Grant (Heroes, Halloween II) will voice Cassie Hack in the adaptation. Grant has expressed interest in the past in playing Hack in a live-action feature film. That’s her pictured below in her own personal Hack costume she cooked up for Halloween.
As Pizzolo stated earlier: “Cassie is a great role and there are a lot of established actresses who’d love to bring her to life. We feel really blessed by the actress we’ve selected to take on the role – not only is she a fan-favorite but she herself is a fan of Tim, Cassie, and Vlad. With Hack/Slash, we’re working more with green screen and roto-style animation, so this actress will literally be taking on Cassie’s skin.”
Grant is no stranger to comics, she previously created “We Will Bury You.”
