D’Onofrio’s directorial debut, ghost hunters and more
Tribeca Enterprises announced today that it’s beefing up the number of titles it will distribute per year. And, yes, some of those films will be of the horror variety.
Up first, is Philip Gelatt’s The Bleeding House, a home invasion thriller about a Texan killer who pays a visit to a family with a “haunted past.”
Vincent D’Onofrio’s Don’t Go in the Woods is also getting a release through Tribeca. This film earned a “0 out of 10” review here at Shock.
And finally, there is Grave Encounters, which we first told you about during our American Film Market coverage last year.
Directed and written by first time filmmakers the Vicious Brothers, this cinéma-vérité style supernatural thriller follows a ghost-hunting reality television show host and crew as they shoot an episode inside an abandoned psychiatric hospital, where unexplained phenomena have been reported for years. All in the name of good television, they voluntarily lock themselves inside the building for the night and begin a paranormal investigation, capturing everything on camera. They quickly realize that the building is more than just haunted â it is alive â and it has no intention of ever letting them leave.
