Two-time Academy Award winner Jessica Lange and Sam Neill have joined the cast of Screen Gems and Spyglass Entertainment’s romance The Vow. Lange and Neill will star opposite Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in the film being directed by Michael Sucsy.
Spyglass’ Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber, and Jonathan Glickman are producing the project along with Paul Taublieb. Austin Hearst and Susan Cooper are executive producing. Cassidy Lange is co-producing.
Screen Gems and Spyglass are co-financing and distributing The Vow. The project marks the first time the two companies have collaborated on a film project.
Inspired by a true story, The Vow centers on a young woman who loses all recent memory in a car accident and struggles to rebuild her identity, while her husband tries to win her heart for the second time.
Lange has won two Oscars® for her roles in Blue Sky and Tootsie. Neill has previously been seen in Daybreakers, Wimbledon as well as Jurassic Park.
Clint Culpepper, Screen Gems’ President, and Scott Strauss, Screen Gems SVP of Production, are overseeing the project for the studio.
