Simpsons vet turns to the undead
Stand-up comedian and “Simpsons” scribe Dana Gould is bringing his knack for humor to the zombie universe, a la Shaun of the Dead, in “The Last Larry.”
Gould – who has appeared in numerous comedies including Mystery Men as “Squeegee Man” – is developing the project for Comedy Central. “It’s a very traditional sitcom set in the world of a zombie holocaust,” Gould told Variety. He’d be writing and starring in “Larry” which concerns a man coping with life post-zombie apocalypse. “I felt fairly positive after I pitched it that I wouldn’t hear a lot of ‘Not that idea again.'”
