Entertainment Weekly chatted with Seraphim Falls star Pierce Brosnan about the highly-anticipated sequel to The Thomas Crown Affair.
“Thomas Crown 2, for all intents and purposes, will happen,” the former James Bond star said. “The script came in two days ago and it’s good. We’ve announced it, we’ve said to the world that we’re going to do it — come hell or high water, we’re going to do it. The bar is high on this one, the expectation is high on it.”
Brosnan, who will produce, added that Rene Russo is not part of the sequel.
The follow-up is titled The Topkapi Affair and will draw on material from 1964’s Topkapi, an MGM film, and the Eric Ambler novel which it was based on, called “The Light of the Day.”
