Ricochet Was Considered To Be a Part of a Top WWE Faction

Former WWE United States Champion Ricochet, set to leave the promotion, was under consideration to join the major faction. Currently, Ricochet has been in a feud with Bron Breakker for weeks. He was recently written off from the TV after Bron Breakker brutally attacked him following his match against Ilja Dragunov.

Breakker took out the former United States Champion by slamming him onto production trucks and power-slamming him on top of a car. This led to the WWE backstage crew intervening in the chaotic situation. Ricochet was then taken out on a stretcher to an ambulance with his girlfriend, Samantha Irvin, with him.

Ricochet signed with WWE back in 2018. After a short stint in NXT, where he captured the North American Title, his quickness led him to the main roster in 2019. There, he captured both the United States and Intercontinental Championships. However, his run on the main roster wasn’t quite the good runs that fans might have expected.

In 2020, he had a significant match against Brock Lesnar at Super Showdown, but Lesnar defeated him in under two minutes. While the high flyer is now set to leave the promotion. The WWE legend MVP recently revealed that Ricochet was considered part of his faction, The Hurt Business.

Why didn’t Ricochet join WWE’s faction The Hurt Business?

In 2020, MVP aligned himself with Bobby Lashley, who won the WWE title twice under his guidance. MVP and Lashley’s team also aligned with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, forming the faction known as The Hurt Business.

However, recently, MVP revealed that Ricochet was once considered to be part of The Hurt Business. MVP had requested that both Ricochet and Cedric Alexander be added to the faction. However, WWE informed him that he could only have one of them in the faction.

All members of the faction held championship titles at one point in 2020. Lashley is the US champion, and Alexander and Benjamin are the tag team champions, all under the guidance of MVP.
