SBS’s K-drama, The Fiery Priest, is returning for season 2 and has announced its cast members. The viewers are going gaga about the series. The drama that premiered back in 2019 originally had Kim Nam-Gil, Honey Lee, and Kim Sung-Kyun in the cast. Now, for the second season, the actors are reprising their roles.
The storyline of the K-drama in the first season revolved around a Catholic priest with anger management issues. On the other hand, there was a cowardly detective. The narrative unfolded as they solved a murder case together. The viewers are excited about how the characters will revive from the last season.

SBS announced that BIBI is joining the OG star cast, including Kim Nam-Gil, Kim Sung-Kyun, and Honey Lee. In The Fiery Priest Season 2, Nam-Gil will reprise the angry Catholic priest’s character, Kim Hae-Il. Honey Lee will be seen as the calm and quick-witted prosecutor, Park Kyung-Sun. While Kim Sung-Kyun will again portray the cowardly detective’s role as Goo Dae-Young.
However, singer-cum-actress BIBI is all new to the drama. She is going to play Goo Ja-Young. Ja-Young is the new detective of the narcotics team. The audience is excited to see her performance and chemistry with the old cast in The Fiery Priest season 2 drama.
Director Park Bo-Ram and screenwriter Park Jae-Bum are reuniting again for the series. As reported in Newsen, the production team shared, “‘The Fiery Priest 2,’ which is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2024, will return with greatly upgraded laughter, action, and crime narratives amidst an even wilder background.”
