On Thursday, March 7, 2024, the official website and Twitter account of Koharu Inoue’s The Duke of Death and His Maid anime released a short promotional video for the third season. The website also revealed the release date alongside a new visual for the upcoming season.
Koharu Inoue launched the manga in 2017 on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry manga site. The manga ended in 2022, with Shogakukan publishing the 16th and final volume in July 2022.

The highly anticipated season of The Duke of Death and His Maid will be part of the spring 2024 lineup. It will premiere on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 10 p.m. JST. Reportedly, Nasuo will perform the opening song, “Cinematic Parade,” while Ayumi Mano will perform the ending song, “Étoile Mémoire.”
The announcement also revealed that the staff from the second season will return to produce the new one at J.C.Staff. That means Yoshiki Yamakawa returns to the show as the director while Hideki Shirane handles the series composition.
Natsuki Hanoe returns to star as Bocchan this new season, while Ayumi Mano will reprise her role as Alice. The new season is also set to feature many returning cast members. The staff revealed that the third season would conclude Bocchan’s story.
The official synopsis of The Duke of Death and His Maid on Crunchyroll is as follows: “This handsome Duke is living in the lap of luxury. He has a grand mansion and even a beautiful, flirty maid, Alice. There’s just one problem: if he touches her, she dies.”
