Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Movie Music Album a Huge Hit On Spotify

Ranbir Kapoor’s latest blockbuster film, Animal, was released in December last year. The movie created a significant buzz with its action scenes and BGM. Amidst this, the latest reports claim that it has set a new record as the music album has crossed over 500 million streams on the popular music platform Spotify.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie received mixed reviews from the audience and critics. The movie boasts star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Additionally, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, Bobby Deol, Shakti Kapoor, and others played key roles. With a budget of $12 million, the film has been produced under the banners of T-Series Films, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios.

Apart from this, the movie has gathered a collection of $7.6 million in India’s net collection on its opening day. It has minted over $40.6 million in its week. Moreover, the film has collected $110 million in worldwide collection and $79.5 in India’s gross collection. Notably, with this, Animal obtained 8th position in the Highest grossing Hindi movie worldwide.

The movie follows the story of the dynamic relationship between a father, Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), and a son, Ranvijay Singh (Ranbir Kapoor). It has received a rating of 6.4/10 with around 79 thousand votes on IMDb. Meanwhile, BookMyShow has a rating of 8.2/10 with around 610.7K votes.

Animal breaks record on Spotify after Netflix debut

Despite facing lots of criticism, Animal created the record of being the most-viewed Indian movie on Netflix. It maintained its position in the platform’s global charts for two consecutive weeks in the non-English film category.

Recently, it has added another achievement to its list. As per reports, Animal has set a new record as a music album with over 500 million streams on the popular music platform Spotify. Also, it became the fastest Indian album to cross over 500 million streams.

However, after the tremendous success of Animal, Vanga is focusing on its sequel titled Animal Park with no official release date yet.
