Microsoft has announced that it will be holding an Xbox Partner Preview on Wednesday, October 25 to show off titles being developed by the gaming giant’s third-party partners. While the recently revealed showcase promises to give gamers a glimpse of some upcoming PC and Xbox titles, no Activision Blizzard games will be included at this year’s event.
The Xbox Partner Preview will feature new trailers and gameplay footage from Microsoft’s third-party partners
Announced in a post on Xbox Wire, the Xbox Partner Preview is a new type of show for Microsoft. Unlike the company’s familiar Xbox Showcase events, which primarily focus on first-party titles coming to PC and Xbox consoles, the Xbox Partner Preview is designed to shine a spotlight on Microsoft’s third-party partners. Despite seemingly being a smaller affair than the company’s first-party showcases, the Xbox Partner Preview promises to be packed full of new information about upcoming PC and Xbox games, with the announcement revealing that over 20 minutes of trailers and gameplay footage will be shown off.
One of the most high-profile titles being shown off during the event is Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2. The long-awaited sequel to the psychological horror classic will receive a launch trailer at the Xbox Partner Preview ahead of the game’s release on October 27. Other highlights include new information about the in-game activities included in developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, as well as the first gameplay footage of Ark: Survival Ascended. The show is also slated to reveal information about new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming months, though Microsoft hasn’t given any indication of what those games may be.
The Xbox Partner Preview begins at 10 a.m. Pacific time on October 25, with Microsoft promising that Xbox Wire will feature live updates for all of the major announcements. Gamers interested in checking out the Xbox Partner Preview for themselves will be able to stream the show live on the official Xbox YouTube and Twitch channels, and on regional Xbox channels worldwide. In an example of Microsoft’s ongoing attempts to increase accessibility on Xbox, the show will be streamed in both American and British Sign Language as well as receiving an Audio Descriptions stream designed for visually impaired players.
