Searchlight Pictures has announced the Theater Camp Hulu and digital release date for its latest comedy feature, which hails from co-director and star Molly Gordon. This comes after over a month since the Ben Platt-led film had its theatrical release, where it received positive response from critics.
When is the Theater Camp Hulu & Digital release dates?
Theater Camp will be available for streaming on Hulu starting on September 14. On the same day, viewers will also be able to rent or own the film from all major digital retailers, including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu. Its digital release will also include exclusive behind-the-scenes bonus content.
“It follows Amos and Rebecca-Diane – lifelong best friends and drama instructors at a rundown camp in upstate New York,” reads the synopsis. “When clueless tech-bro Troy arrives to run the property — into the ground — Amos, Rebecca-Diane and production manager Glenn band together with the staff and young students, staging a masterpiece to keep their beloved summer camp afloat.”
Theater Camp is co-directed by Gordon and Nick Lieberman from a screenplay they co-wrote with Platt and Noah Galvin. The film stars Galvin, Gordon, Platt, Tatro, Patti Harrison, Nathan Lee Graham, Ayo Edebiri, Owen Thiele, Caroline Aaron, and Amy Sedaris.
The film had its world premiere earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Ensemble. Producers are Galvin, Gordon, Lieberman, Platt, Will Ferrell, Erik Feig, Samie Kim Falvey, Julia Hammer, Ryan Heller, Maria Zuckerman, and Jessica Elbaum.
