It premiered on June 6, 1998, and concluded on February 22, 2004. It was followed by a Sex and the City movie in 2008, which was followed by Sex and the City 2 in 2010; both were box office successes. A third film was developed in 2016 but ultimately canceled, reportedly due to co-star Kim Cattrall’s unwillingness to revisit the part of Samantha.
