The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me Gets Teaser Trailer

The Dark Pictures Anthology series is on the cusp of releasing its newest title, House of Ashes, and there’s already a teaser for the next installment titled The Devil in Me.

The trailer reveals a brief look at what looks to be a central figure in the next game, who appears to be a killer of some sort. It then shows a variety of clips of this person attacking others while referring to the brutal acts as “art.” An animatronic skeleton sitting in a chair then reveals itself as the narrator, speaking into the camera before an off-screen human stops the recording.

Players can see this trailer in House of Ashes by getting a certain ending, as shown by YouTuber BIGDADDYJENDE’s video below. This trailer also refers to the game as the “season one ending,” which makes sense since Supermassive has eight titles planned for the series.

There’s also a much shorter The Devil in Me teaser within House of Ashes. There is a tablet near the very end of the game that shows some sort of explosive trap going off in front of a man. The man also appears briefly in the full trailer for The Devil in Me, so it’s likely that he’s one of the many victims referred to in the trailer. Including new looks at its future games has been a bit of a tradition for Supermassive Games, as the developer has begun hinting at its upcoming projects beginning with Man of Medan in 2019.

While this contains the first look at the game, its title has been known since July. Users on ResetEra found the trademark for the game along with its logo.

It’s currently unknown when The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me will release as there was no date in the teaser. But Supermassive Games has put out an entry in the series every year, so it’s possible this entry will come out later in 2022.
