While it was wholly leaked earlier, Sony has finally officially revealed the October 2021 PlayStation Plus lineup. It includes one new title, a sports game, and one of the best-selling fighting games of all time. All three will be available from October 5 to November 1.
Hell Let Loose is the new game and is a PlayStation 5 entry in the trio. This World War II first-person shooter has 100-player online battles with a real-time strategy metagame looming above it. There are 14 roles and all have “authentic” firearms and equipment. The game will also be on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The game has crossplay between all consoles but PC players will be on their own.

Mortal Kombat X is the oldest title of the bunch, but one the most people will probably recognize. This 2015 fighting game put the new school of combatants against the classics and turned up the intensity by focusing more on aggression within its mechanics. This game is already in the PlayStation Plus Collection for PS5 owners so many probably have this game in some way or another. Also, this is the vanilla version of the game and not Mortal Kombat XL, which is the re-releases that has all the DLC. This means that players will have to purchase the DLC fighters like Jason Voorhees, Predator, Leatherface, and the Tarkatan-infused Alien if they want to play them. This game has seen some sort of resurgence lately as NetherRealm has stopped supporting Mortal Kombat 11 and players are eager to play something in the meantime before the team reveals its next title.
