James Gunn continues to build up the cast for his upcoming Peacemaker series on HBO Max. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gunn has enlisted Lochlyn Munro, Chukwudi Iwuji, Annie Chang, and Christoper Heyerdahl to play roles on the show (via SuperHeroHype).
THR doesn’t provide specifics on which character these actors are playing, but it does offer a few interesting details. Munro and Chang are both playing detectives on the series, while Heyerdahl’s character will apparently fill the role of their captain. Additionally, Iwuji is portraying a character named Clemson Murn, but the report doesn’t give us any more info than that.
Munro is known for his role on The CW’s Riverdale, and also appeared in White Chicks. Iwuji has primarily worked in theater throughout his career. However, he has had recurring roles on Designated Survivor and When They See Us. Next up, Iwuji will appear in Barry Jenkins’ upcoming Amazon series, The Underground Railroad. Chang has popped up throughout the last two seasons of NBC’s Shades of Blue. Meanwhile, Heyerdahl has had roles on AMC’s Hell on Wheels and SYFY’s Van Helsing series. He has also appeared in Sicario: Day of the Soldado and Disney+’s Togo.
