Focus Features Announces Free Movie Mondays

In an effort to bring fans stuck at home a variety of fun and free content, Focus Features has announced the debut of a new livestream program entitled Focus Movie Mondays in which they will be livestreaming a film from their library exclusively on their Facebook page every Monday in April for free!

The program, which was tested in 2017 to celebrate the studio’s 15th anniversary, will highlight a variety of titles from the Focus Features library, with past titles having included The Kids Are All Right, Pride & PrejudiceThe Constant Gardner and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Its goal is to act as a celebration of film and bring moviegoers together through social media, allowing fans to have chats with the studio, filmmakers, talent and even each other through live watch parties.

The full schedule for this month’s Movie Mondays is as follows:

  • April 6 at 5pm PST/8pm EST: Gosford Park ­
    • Questions will be collected this Thursday, April 2 for Julian Fellowes and his answers will be revealed during the livestream.
  • April 13 at 5pm PST/8pm EST: Moonrise Kingdom 
    • Questions will be collected Tuesday, April 7 for Wes Anderson and his answers will be revealed during the livestream.
  • April 20 at 5pm PST/8pm ESTMallrats including live Watch Party with Kevin Smith 
  • April 27 at 5pm PST/8pm EST: My Summer of Love

Each livestream is also included with a link to donate to the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund, which is looking to provide financial relief to those in the entertainment industry drastically affected by the global pandemic.
