The Babysitter’s Original Cast Set to Return for Netflix Sequel

Following the news that Netflix has greenlit the sequel for their horror-comedy The Babysitter, Netflix has announced that the film’s original cast led by Bella Thorne (Amityville: The Awakening), Robbie Amell (The Flash, The X-Files), Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect series), Andrew Bachelor (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) and Judah Lewis (The Christmas Chronicles) are all set to reprise their roles for the sequel with original director McG (Rim of the World) also set to return.

Emily Alyn Lind (Doctor Sleep), Ken Marino (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Leslie Bibb (Iron Man), Carl McDowell, and Chris Wylde will also be returning. It is unclear if Ready or Not star Samara Weaving, who played the evil Babysitter in the first film, will still be a part of the sequel or not.

The Babysitter sequel will be set two years after our hero, Cole (Lewis), defeated a satanic cult led by his babysitter. He’s trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school., but when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.

The new film will be scripted by American Vandal showrunner and Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous co-creator, Dan Lagana. It will be executive produced by Steven Bello, Corey Marsh, Brian Duffield, Alex Boies, Tyler Zacharia, and Devin Andre with McG, Mary Viola and Zach Schiller serving as producers.
